    I did some work about this kind of stuff for my masters and read a bunch of out there books about evangelical Christian eschatology and my main thoughts were 1. Wow you’re trying to box tick God into the apocalypse and 2. Oh so this too is ultimately antisemitic

    I am reading a book about murder in ancient Rome and it has used both “large adult son” and “chinny reckon” and I am FASCINATED by how these phrases (and others) have been translated not just for North American readers but also into other languages

    I love how you can press the little superscript numbers in an ebook and it takes you right to the footnote and you press it again and it takes you back to where you were reading

    The most delightful thing for me lately, as someone who likes to learn about everything, is that the friends and mutuals I’ve been blessed with over the last 20+ years all know STUFF about THINGS to a high level so I get to enjoy newsletters, blogs, academic papers, books, podcasts etc about it all
